This is a long but unforgettable day - and absolutely worth it. You’ll drive across ancient lava fields, past Iceland’s largest ice cap, and through hauntingly beautiful floodplains carved by volcanic eruptions. For real, those are things you can do and that we will do!

We’ll be making our way to two iconic locations - a glacier lagoon and a beach covered with diamond like ice structures.

You’ll return to Vík after dark, which isn’t hard because day light is only from about 10:30 - 4:00! Regardless, you’ll be tired but also just beside yourself after taking in all of the views of the day. On our way back to the hotel, we’ll call in our dinner orders so you can enjoy your dinner and just get right to bed. Don’t forget to set your alarm though to catch any Northern Lights sightings!
