Hi, I’m Leeah — the person behind Newberry Travel!

If we haven’t met yet, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a ex-corporate manifestor who always notices the delightful little details. I also happen to be the lil’ travel bug who founded Newberry Travel. Our goal at NT, is to teach others that there is a different way to travel - one that helps you see the world in a way that feels expansive yet connected and overwhelming yet so dang beautiful!

How it all started...

Like many great stories, it started with a bad boss and burnout! But, it also started way back with a little girl who dreamed of going to Antarctica to see the penguins. So when that little girl (that’s me btw) had saved up just enough money - she got her one-way ticket and that is exactly what she did.

But what I found along the way wasn’t just breathtaking views and amazing food (though yes, there was plenty of both). I found connection and purpose. I came to understand that travel, when done with intention and good people, can change everything.

The plan was always to start a travel business, it just took a few too many years. But eventually, that spark turned into Newberry Travel — a space where people like you can explore the world in a way that feels deeply meaningful, wildly fun, and totally supported.

A few things I believe:

✨ You deserve a trip that feels like you — not a cookie-cutter tour with selfie sticks and stress
✨ Sisterhood is powerful — magic happens when women show up for each other

Quick facts about me:

  • Favorite country (so far): Sri Lanka for food, Oman for adventuring, Iceland for ambiance, Antarctica to feel wild & free

  • My travel style: Equal opportunist

  • Go-to airport snack: Kombucha, I love trying new flavors

  • Can usually be found: Looking very very closely at textures - of paintings, of flowers, of lil bugs, of all the stars in the sky

  • Fun fact: In college, I was selected in one of those American Eagle giveaways, I was flown to New York City to review their upcoming collections and provide feedback. It ended with a shopping spree. Lol, so random.
