Each day of this trip is special, but this may be one of the most meaningful days of the trip. We'll meet a local artist who is preserving traditional crafts and supporting her family through her work before joining a local family for a market visit and hands-on cooking lesson. These are the moments we live for on Newberry trips.

Optional: This night we’ll have readings by a local astrologer. Sri Lankan culture has incorporated astrology in their daily lives and decisions since as far back as the 3rd century. Whether you believe it or not, it is still an interesting way to learn about the islands culture.
